About
Who makes ohmio
I'm Cristian Bedoya, a systems engineer in Colombia. I like working with my hands and learning things the hard way, breaking them and trying again until they work, and electronics is exactly that. The idea behind ohmio is that you can see a breadboard circuit working, so you understand it before you build it.
How the breadboards work
Every breadboard on the site is drawn and simulated with Protoboard ISO, an open-source kit I'm building, on GitHub. The currents and voltages on each page come from that simulation, so they are a model of real parts: close to what a multimeter would show, but not a measurement.
How the videos are made
The short videos on YouTube come from the same simulator and the same circuit you can try here. The voice is synthetic, made with a model from recordings of my own voice, and I review every video before it goes out.
